# Privacy Rights and Account Closure — Draft

**Version:** `draft-2026-10-13-v1` · **Privacy contact:** `[privacy email/form]`

## Make a request

Depending on your location, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or review of a decision. Contact **[privacy email/form]** from the account email or use **[verified self-service URL]**. State the request and the account identifiers needed to locate your data. We may ask for proportionate verification; we will not ask for your password or full bank number by email.

## Account closure

Closing an account should revoke active sessions and stop new optional processing. Deletion may require time to complete across backups, caches, processors, and legal holds. Some limited records may be retained to meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, safety, rights-enforcement, or legal obligations; the purpose and period must be disclosed. Where deletion is not legally possible, restrict use and explain the reason. Account closure does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription; cancel it with the store if the store is the merchant.

## Current product status

Self-service account deletion, a complete request-tracking workflow, and purpose-based deletion jobs are not verified as operational. Until delivered, requests should be handled through **[privacy contact]** under a documented manual process and locally required deadlines. Do not advertise an in-app deletion feature before it exists.

## Complaints and appeal

If we deny or limit a request, we should explain the applicable exception and how to seek review or complain to the relevant privacy regulator. Contact **[privacy contact]**. Country-specific regulator and statutory timelines must be filled by counsel.
